Join a backcountry ski adventure through Hokkaido’s iconic terrain, guided by certified local expert Aki Tachimoto, in partnership with Teton Bros. Explore deep powder zones like Niseko, Furano, and Asahidake, then unwind in natural hot springs and cozy mountain lodges. A trip designed for experienced skiers seeking authentic terrain, culture, and connection.

Day 1 – Arrival in Sapporo & Transfer to Otaru
Land at New Chitose Airport (CTS) in the morning. Meet your Esnativa host and transfer to the coastal town of Otaru. Check into your hotel, gear check, and welcome dinner with the guiding team.
Day 2 – Resort Skiing at Sapporo Kokusai
Warm-up ski day at Sapporo Kokusai. Lift-accessed powder laps and short sidecountry tours as conditions allow. Return to Otaru for local seafood dinner and onsen experience.
Day 3 – Backcountry Day near Otaru
Touring day near the coastal ranges outside Otaru. Explore glades and bowls with sea views. Evening transfer to Niseko region and check-in at mountain lodge.
Day 4 – Niseko Lift-Access & Sidecountry
Lift-assisted skiing at Niseko United with access to gates and sidecountry terrain. Flexible plans based on weather. Optional onsen soak and dinner in Kutchan.
Day 5 – Rusutsu Resort & Touring Zones
Full day exploring Rusutsu’s playful terrain, known for deep powder and perfectly spaced trees. Return to accommodation or explore nearby backcountry zone depending on conditions.
Day 6 – Transfer to Asahikawa via Sapporo
Mid-morning transfer north towards central Hokkaido. Stop for lunch in Sapporo and continue toward Asahikawa. Scenic travel day through forested valleys. Check-in and group dinner.
Day 7 – Kamui Ski Links + Optional Touring
Ski day at Kamui Ski Links. Lift-access terrain with backcountry options nearby. Farewell dinner and celebration of the week’s adventure in Asahikawa.
Day 8 – Departure from Asahikawa
Breakfast and transfer to Asahikawa Airport (AKJ) for departure. Schedule flights after 11:00 AM for stress-free travel.

This checklist includes the essential equipment and clothing for a safe and enjoyable ski touring experience in Hokkaido. All gear should be in good condition and tested before departure.
Ski & Safety Equipment
- Touring skis or splitboard (with touring bindings)
- Climbing skins (pre-cut and tested)
- Adjustable ski poles
- Ski or snowboard boots (compatible with your setup)
- Avalanche beacon (3-antenna, with fresh batteries)
- Probe (minimum 240 cm)
- Shovel (metal blade)
- Backpack (30–40L, with ski/snowboard carry system)
